getting a timeout error

Nov 13, 2009 at 5:46 PM

Please help. I've installed fine and set up the job, but I get an error message when I execute: Timeout expired. the timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. I've double checked the name of the server and it is fine, and I've upped the script timeout in seconds to 90 and it still isn't running.

What operation are you trying to perform? Can you post the command you're running

Hi

I am using the backup template it provides you with. Here is a copy as it stands:

DECLARE @BackupName VARCHAR(255)
DECLARE @BackupFileName VARCHAR(255)

SET @BackupName = 'CCR_Live_' + convert(nvarchar(20), getdate(), 112) + N'.bak'
SET @BackupFileName = N'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\MSSQL\Backup\' + @BackupName

BACKUP DATABASE CCR_Live TO
DISK = @BackupFileName WITH NOFORMAT, NOINIT,
NAME = @BackupName, SKIP, REWIND, NOUNLOAD,  STATS = 10

Thanks in advance :-)
